This article will give you a brief overview on creating templates. Your first template will typically be your hardest one because everything is new to you. As you navigate through the app, you’ll find that creating templates is pretty easy and goes fairly quickly if you have a design already in mind.
How to Create a Template
Be sure that you are in the design area and click on the style template you’re wanting to create.
You can also choose from our stock options, which I will get to a little later. Next, depending on which type of template you selected, you’ll be asked to enter some details for the template like the name, size and orientation.
Edit Your Template
Now that you have a blank canvas on the screen it’s time to add some text, elements, or a background. After you’ve added objects to the canvas, you can manipulate or change them. Once you click an object, a toolbar will be shown at the top that will give you all kinds of options for manipulating it.
Save Your Template
When you are ready to save the template, click “Save” at the top left in the blue bar. You’ll be required to add tags and a name for your template. Your customer will see the name of the template after purchasing so be sure it makes sense.
Stock Templates
Now, let’s look at your stock options! When selecting the type of template you want to create, you can select "stock" templates. Choose between multiple categories, including wedding, bridal shower, baby shower, birthday and religious. Within each category you have multiple templates to use that showcase a beautiful, simple layout. This takes the guess work out and allows you to do the fun part. Add clipart, change the font style and color… add a background color, change the font size… edit and rearrange as needed to fit your design needs. These stock options will save so much time and energy.
That’s all there is to creating templates with Templett.
